See Benten on your own phone
Each demo plays a website or app that asks Benten for your approval. The request appears in the Benten App on your phone; tap Allow or Deny and watch the page react. These pages call the Benten API the same way your own server would.
- Install the Benten App and register your phone number.
- Start with Sign in. The first time, it asks on your phone to add demo accounts: a username, two demo cards and a demo thermostat. Nothing is charged; the cards are fake.
- Then try the shop, the thermostat and a request of your own. They only go to phones whose owner allowed the demo, so nobody can use it to message strangers.
Don't have the Benten App yet? Get it for iPhone or Android and register your phone number, then come back.
Sign in to a website
Enter a username and your phone number. Instead of a password or a texted code, you approve the sign-in on your phone.
Try sign-in → 2Pay with a card
Pick an item and one of your demo cards. The card holder approves the payment, with the amount and store shown on the phone.
Try a purchase → 3Approve a device change
Someone wants to change your thermostat. The change waits until you allow it on your phone.
Try the thermostat → 4Approve anything
Write your own request (a document sign-off, a transfer, a door unlock) and send it to your phone.
Send a request →Build the same thing: create an API key on the developer dashboard, then use the .NET SDK, the Python sample, or any language that speaks HTTPS and WebSockets (API reference).
